Bio

Cahli Blakers, one half of indie punk-pop duo Teenage Joans, is a young songwriter based in Adelaide, South Australia. She burst onto the scene in 2018 with the release of her debut single 'The Kids Are Cool But They're Not Okay', supporting bands like The Hard Aches and Heaps Good Friends before then forming the band. Drawing influence from Camp Cope and The 1975, her lyrics are raw and honest as her songs are playful. Starting her solo project up again, 2020 will see the release of her next single 'How To Live When Everyone Dies'.

This is cool, feels like it's got heaps of your personality imbued in it.

Always stoked to see a young songwriter flaunting a set of such disparate influences. And what is this if not a song built on mixed musical bedrock?
