Brisbane 4-piece The Cairos will be taking their pop-infused party rock'n'roll to the Adelaide Fringe thanks to triple j Unearthed and Fuse Festival. We love them and you will too.
Tell us about your music - how did you develop your sound?
Our music has evolved fairly naturally really. We've been playing for a few years now and have locked into a certain way of playing off each other which has spawned this latest bunch of new songs.
You’re the winners of our Fuse Festival Competition. What can the Fuse Festival audience expect from your show?
Tight rhythms, driving riffs and a shirtless drummer. And lots and lots of hair (on our heads).
What are you most hoping to get out of attending and playing the 2011 Fuse Festival?
We've only ever played Adelaide twice before so an opportunity to form some groundswell there would be exceptional. We consistently work hard on our live sound and we'll be aiming to turn a few heads.
What else is coming up in 2011?
Recordings, tours, writing, mental check lists and three 21st birthdays. Hopefully a year of fun and hard work.
Australian music is?
The stories of our friends and fellow musicians living the best kind of life there is.

Experienced producer Magoo has helped guide the band's debut EP - from which this song comes. But that's to take nothing away from the confidence the band oozes on this highlight track off it. That is if confidence oozes...I think exudes might have been better.

There's some great sweeping production and and a solid overall mood achieved in this song. Dark stuff that doesn't necessarily brood. Dark 'n' danceable. That simple riff kicks in at the start with those drivey drums just nails it. Nice one Cairos. Last graveyard shift i did, i actually had a guy call up and beg me to play you before i'd got the actual track! That'...

Bulldozing riff with some inspired '60s vocals on top. Their other new stuff is sounding good too.
