Born and bred in Melbourne Australia, folk/ roots artist Cameron Oates has a story that is not your usual. Cameron’s musical career didn’t start until his early 20’s when he injured his back working as an air-conditioning mechanic. Cameron hit an all-time low in his life when doctors and physio’s told him he should no longer work on the tools and should look at office work. Cameron went through countless hours of rehab and during that time he picked up the guitar and started writing. A lot of Cameron’s music is very deep and meaningful with songs written about the hard times. No matter how hard it may be at the time, it is so important to always stay positive. Cameron’s beats and melodies are addictive and his music has been described as both deeply moving and spiritual. Cameron’s song writing ability is one that is heartfelt.
