Bio

Hailing from Brisbane, rock four-piece Carvel create tracks mixed with vibrant guitar riffs, soulful lyrics and melodic, rhythmic beats. Forming in 2015 in sunny Queensland, comprised of four multi-instrumentally talented mates, Timothy Tanzer, Cameron Jang, James Jeliffe and Tom Jewell. The band’s musical style although primarily rock also weaves in elements of alternative, acoustic, pop and funk genres into their tracks for a fun twist. The quartet first began after Tim and Cameron began gaining popularity from their YouTube channel, TimandCameronPlayGuitar, recording covers from their favourite artists. They were guys were even acknowledged by Jane’s Addiction guitarist and former member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Navarro, for their high quality Red Hot Chili Peppers covers. From this, they recorded their debut EP ‘For the Birds’ and have since cultivated a mass following in the US, South America and Europe but now they’ve returned to their roots ready to embrace Australia with their sound!

This is probably what the Chili Peppers would've sounded like if they'd opted for weed instead of super hard drugs. I'm not saying Carvel sound like stoners and I'm not saying that hard drugs makes you good or bad. I dunno, I guess what I'm trying to say is that this sound is like a more mellow/laid back version of the Chili Peppers. Maybe the Blue Cool Mild Capsicum...

Maybe I need to be. Cool tune.

A smooth chilled out rock and roll tune. There is elements of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Cream, and Tom Petty here to bring out a nice vintage rock feel. The music flows along nicely to bring out a chilled out atmosphere.
