Bio

I am a Western Aranda woman from the remote community of Hermannsburg in Central Australia. Growing up in a revered musical family, she listened to all types of music from Eddie Van Halen to Sade. A third generation musician, being the first woman in my family that has pursued a solo music career. I first performed at the age of 10 at the Yiperinga Festival to 20 000 people. She was only 14 when she released her first single Desert Pop Lock and Drop. Following formal vocal training in Adelaide I experimented with jazz, blues and soul and rock and roll – and loved them all but it has been dance electronic music that helped me find my own voice. My family history includes some of Aboriginal Australia’s most revered artists and musicians. I most recently released Fallin Down in May 2018, which has earned airplay on Triple j unearthed and community radio.

Your voice holds you through the ups and downs of the melody. Great song that goes lots of places.

Great to hear another song from you, Casii. Vocal on this is a dream and the subtly wobbling electronics add a bit of texture and heft to this track.
