Bio

Cathy grew up in Tassie, before crossing the ditch to see what all the fuss was about. She has been living in Canberra and getting her mits into every band she can for several years, including Helena Pop and Azim Zain and his Lovely Bones.

Her latest single, 'Elimatta Hotel' marks Diver’s first release under the label she co-founded in 2020, Undine Records.

Since releasing her debut track in 2019 ('Watertight'), Cathy has supported the likes of Julia Jacklin, Didirri, Fraser A. Gorman, Maddy Jane and Greta Stanley.
In an erstwhile guise she has toured with Tim Rogers (You Am I), supported Beth Orton (UK) and Bob Evans, as well as coming home with the National Live Music Awards’ ACT Live Voice of the Year for 2017 and 2018.

This one's seemingly all about that feeling of being stuck in place and number by the day but still Cathy makes it sound arresting and special.

Another fantastic track from Cathy Diver exemplifying the poetry and imagery that she brings to the everyday, ordinary and sublime of life.

What a sublime mood you've spun here, Cathy. It's got poise for days and a knowing charm through the lyrics. I'm thinking Carla Geneve meets Didirri but also just YOU.
