Port Macquarie migrants David Kercher (Guitar/Vocals), Brett Pollard (Guitar/funky sounds) and Zac Germon (Bass) formed Catnip in Newcastle with local Eddie Staccato (Trumpet/Keys) and fellow traveler Zachariah Cotter (Drums) in August of 2015. What started as covers in the dank depths of the jam room, illuminated only by the guiding beacon of a plasma dolphin, the group started developing their own grooves which caused cats to funk out and get low.

Following their debut EP 'Mr The Boss Man' Catnip have recently gone on to release their second EP 'Sketches' featuring the track 'Dirty Zergs' , available on all streaming services

Catnip's varied musical influences have lead to a highly unique sound, unified by one theme. Getting the funk.

When you see Catnip live you can't help but move. With their astounding originals combined with a cheeky cover ;) and epic jams, their live sets are good times guaranteed
