Celeste Evelyn is an artist/singer-songwriter born from the wild and fertile coastal soil of Tasmania, honing an original sound that borrows from roots, soul, folk and alt-rock, yet strays into realms of a genre undefinable. An earth-spun songstress with provoking lyrics, emotive melodies, and a focus on the depth and colour available to our human experience that can be found through rhythm and melody. Inspired by 60s and 70s folk-rock as a bedrock in supporting her love for the genius of songwriting and production gone by, while the primitive force of her own craft expands into maverick creations and modern-day musings. She’s supported acts such as Mojo Juju, Gordi, Stonefield, and Chase City. After enough dreaming about it, she released her debut 7 track EP, 'Sun Borne' in 2019, and received raving reviews. Her most recent single release in 2021, 'Sphere', is a progressive move into the soundscape she is excited to explore further.
