Upon meeting this Sydney-based Zimbabwe descendant, you sense she makes her own rules – from her brassy blonde hair, to adidas ensembles, offbeat manner & willingness to discuss bowel movements. Her rapid-fire flow rivals the big-hitters on commercial radio. She is currently getting radio airplay on Triple J and so far she has done it all independently. Two events greatly influenced Charmaine's relationship with music. Her first public performance was at her father's eulogy. Overcome with emotion and unable to speak, she penned a song in 2 minutes flat and sang her feelings instead, learning of music's healing power. Next was when her rock'n'roll lifestyle took her to rock bottom. But instead of living in despair, she turned to music again.
