Checkered Fist are an Australian trio who formed in 2007. Julian Shaw is the lead guitarist / singer, Jake Meredith plays Drums and Damon Shaw is the Upright ‘Double Bass’ player / backing vocals. Their genre is "Psychobilly" however, theirs is a fresh, unique and awesome fusion of many musical styles including rockabilly, blues, alternate rock and Punk. This young trio have been causing quite a positive reaction wherever they have played, with their ability and professionalism. This trio's youthful exuberance never goes un-noticed during their energetic and often interactive stage performances. They have already played numerous gigs in pubs, clubs, auditoriums and even outdoor festivals.
