Chelsea Rockwells are a 3-piece rock outfit from the Gold Coast, Australia.
Their riff-driven, alternative-rock sound is a result of their eclectic musical influences and tastes. Their sound has elements of alternative and grunge, but essentially it’s hard rock with a melodic onslaught of vocal tones from their front man and bass player Jay Vincent. Sean Dalton on drums and guitarist Nathan Mills round out this powerhouse 3 piece.
Chelsea Rockwells formed in late 2015, rising out of the sonic ash of previous bands who have toured and fought on the front lines. The band got to work quickly, immersing themselves in the dim glow of 'The Cave'. Here they wrote a large collection of songs, surfacing only to play shows and eat burgers.
The band teamed up with producer Matt Bartlem (Dead Letter Circus, Jarryd James, Matt Corby) at the prestigious Loose Stones Studios to record their debut EP in early 2016.
As they enter the second half of 2016, they are firmly focused on touring, engaging with audiences and getting amongst the emerging talented rock acts from the South-Eastern corner, taking their music to the world.
