Bio

18 year old Chloe St. Claire is set to release her newest track ‘Brittle Bones,’ which combines hazy guitars, punchy hooks and soft ethereal lo-fi vocals. She writes for those who went far away, even when they promised to stay near, painting a bittersweet and wistful truth in her melodies. Written, recorded and produced behind a closed door in her bedroom, this is the debut song of her upcoming EP, where she sings of difficult desire and fragile identity that longs to be heard.

This young artist gives her acoustic alt-folk the dream rock treatment, creating sounds reminiscent of War on Drugs, Jeff Buckley and Hatchie. She is no stranger to the live music scene, starting at a tender age of 15 playing her songs on local live stages. After winning songwriting competition ’The Connecting Song Project,’ she received one-on-one mentorship with Adalita (Magic Dirt), landing her a place on the cover of Forte Music Magazine. Receiving both local and national radio rotation from her latest release the ‘Young Like That EP,’ as well as landing a place in KMMreviews ‘Artists of Tomorrow’ she shows no signs of slowing down.

“Her song is full of shimmering beauty, and her unpretentious, heartfelt lyrics don’t reveal their truest, innermost beauty until you’ve really begun to spend time with the song. Every listen draws you closer in – and it’s there that a whisper becomes a shout." David James Young

So easy to get lost in this. It's a forest and I've lost 4G reception.

Great stuff, Chloe. You've got a knack for making classic sounding, UK indie influenced stuff. Which seems crazy because you're only, what, 17?
