Bio

17 year old DIY musician Chloe St. Claire gives her acoustic alt-folk the dream rock treatment, focusing on themes of fragile identity and difficult desire in her debut EP 'Young Like That,' Spending much of her spare time scribbling lyrics in corners of her math books and gigging on the weekends, Chloe balances her final years of high school with her music career.

"Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, in a suburban bedroom, behind a closed door. That’s where you’ll find Chloe Adele Perrett, AKA Chloe St. Claire – a 17-year-old Central Highlands native with only a few songs to her name. Quietly and unassumingly released around the middle of the year, the song is a sleeper by nature. Its shimmering beauty and unpretentious, heartfelt lyrics don’t reveal their truest, innermost beauty until you’ve really begun to spend time with the song. Every listen draws you closer in – and it’s there that a whisper becomes a shout." David James Young, 2017

Very exciting signs for Chloe. There's a bit of a wistful undercurrent here. It's mature stuff.

The vocal production on this is pretty damn gorgeous and there are some great parts but other parts went on for just a little too long.
