Bio

Following the success of his debut EP Melancholy in May, promising newcomer Chris Lanzon returns with “Everest” (releasing Sept 17th) - the first single from his highly anticipated sophomore project. Transcending genre and traditional pop structure, the song invites listeners to embark on a unique journey with Chris through the trials of self-doubt and life’s challenges - something he hopes many can relate to, especially in the context of this turbulent year. Introspective lyrics over delicately uplifting music make the 20-year-old from Sydney a voice for his generation, and many have already labelled him one-to-watch.

infusing a classic folky song structure with pulsing electro-pop touches really cleverly gives this one some memorable oomph.

Chris pulls off a lot with simple song construction here. Now simple doesn't need to be a negative thing either. I just mean that he doesn't play this one up too much, rather he's carefully focused on hitting that emotional mark with the voice, lyrics and gradual build and release.

Fell in hard for this new one, Chris. I love your openness and the moment of big release. The feelings become gigantic and your songwriting is so pretty.
