Nothing quite like spreading a good dose of Chutney onto your morning toast. Chutney are a four-piece indie rock band hailing from the Gold Coast, QLD – drawing upon influences such as Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, Catfish & The Bottlemen and Sticky Fingers, Chutney have already left an imprint within the South East Queensland scene with their electrifying live shows and expressive song writing.

All four members hail from separate local Gold Coast bands Augusta, Hot Coffee & the Stingin’ Rogers, and combined in late 2019 to bring their love for lyrical indie rock together into a fully fledged outfit. Impressively slick guitar lines, strong and memorable vocals, pounding drums and throbbing bass lines form the crux of this class line-up, all combined with a deep appreciation for high quality song writing and fan connectivity.

With an entire album worth of material waiting in the wings, 2020 looks to be the year of Chut, with plans to release an EP in the coming months as well as consistent single releases. With a strong appreciation for live performance also stemming from the group, these four cheeky boys are planning on stamping their mark on the live music scene of the East Coast with a high concentration of shows on the radar. Keep a close eye on this group – don’t miss the next big thing.
