Bio
Australian singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Chymes delivers a unique brand of electronic-pop full of intimate lyrics juxtaposed with playful, flirtatious beats. Since her 2016 debut, Chymes has captured audiences all over the globe, racking up over 5 million streams across Apple Music and Spotify.
Chymes writes and sings about her broken heart, feelings and thoughts through delicate, yet powerful vocals that lure the listener into her own intimate world. With the help of producer Cameron Taylor, Chymes found a sweet spot contrasting contemplative lyrics with sweet pop sounds that provoke darker moods and emotions.
Most recently, Chymes received recognition on a global scale after the chart-topping Korean boyband BTS tweeted about her song 'Dreaming', landing her music in several Global Viral 50 Spotify Charts including Japan, Phillipines, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, as well as charting on the Korean Melon charts.
Far beyond the bedroom-studio project it originated as, Chymes hit the Australian summer festival scene in early 2018, has secured numerous high rotation spots on Australian radio station Triple J Unearthed, as well as several spins on Triple J.
No doubt 2019 is going to be a pivotal year in Chymes already flourishing career.

Plenty of acts making polished pop sounds right now but there's something about Chymes - the instincts, the control - that keeps me coming back track after track.
