Bio

The City Summer was started in early 2011 by guitarist Joshua Wood. Vocalist Jess Patmore, bassist Mitch Lucas and drummer Sam Harper completed the group, and their debut was in a heat of the AACA band competition, which they took out. The City Summer went on to place 3rd in that competition, and progress through four others. In July they also had the honour of opening for Tonight Alive. Off the stage, The City Summer has been featured on three compilation CDs, one of which is in circulation in the USA. With Josh's unique and fresh guitar riffs, Mitch's smooth bass lines, the catchy intricacies of Sam's drumming, and the dynamics and emotion in Jess' vocals, coupled with the raw energy they bring to their live shows, The City Summer is sure to leave you stunned and begging for more. The City Summer are about to enter the studio to record their first EP, and you can catch them at venues around Wollongong and Sydney. I love Avianes music, and their song tonight. I realy think they deserve some exposure to a national audience, as they have amazing vocal and instrumental talent. Especially the Bass player, Louis. Good work guys!

I love this song. It's good quality for their first studio recorded track. It's catchy and has a wicked rhythm. It's similar enough to hear notes of Paramore and Tonight Alive, yet unique enough to have its own beat; highlighted by searing lead guitar, supported with awesome pounding drums, Jess's vocals complement and round up a form-fitting band that is bursting through th...

Definitely a band to look for!

The solo at the end is worth the price of admission alone. Check these guys out if you ever get the chance.
