Bio

Clare began writing as a playwright. Her delicate vocals soar over textural, gothic folk sounds, creating a tension between the dark and the light that defines her inner world.

Her debut EP "April", recorded in her bedroom, was a low-fi step into the world of indie folk.

She spread her wings with the re-release of her single "Famine/Beast/Feast", which scored a spot at #5 of the Unearthed "Roots" chart and a play on "Roots N All".

After a year of playing, sharing the stage with the likes of REES LUCIA and Estelle Conley, Lola Sola, Alice Knight and Huck Hastings, playing gigs at the likes of Brighton Up, Folkswagon, Cafe Lounge and LazyBones lounge.

Lockdown be damned, 2020 is going to be a big year of new music and an evolving sound for Clare... so keep your ears to the ground.

For Fans Of: Laura Marling | Marika Hackman | Phoebe Bridgers

‘April’ is in digital stores now.

Soak this brooding and intoxicating mix from Clare. I'm getting my fill.

Yes it was definitely worth keeping an eye on you Clare. This is a gentle breeze of thoughtful songwriting.

So epic, I feel like a different person after listening to this, the sound alone feels like it stretches through time and space. Those vocals are just, bliss.
