Bio

Clare began writing as a playwright. After a stint of challenges with her mental health, she sought to heal in a brand new way: combining music with words. Her delicate vocals soar over textural, gothic folk sounds, creating a tension between the dark and the light that defines her inner world.

Her debut EP "April" honoured a coming into herself and sharing that inner world for the first time. She continues to delve into the heartbreaking honesty and whimsy with nimble vocals reminiscent of Joni or Phoebe Bridgers.

Despite harshness, barrenness or hardship, there can be beauty. There will be growth. Hope can grow in desolation, with honesty.

For Fans Of: Laura Marling | Marika Hackman | Phoebe Bridgers

‘April’ is in digital stores now.

Yes it was definitely worth keeping an eye on you Clare. This is a gentle breeze of thoughtful songwriting.

So epic, I feel like a different person after listening to this, the sound alone feels like it stretches through time and space. Those vocals are just, bliss.

This ones got a darker echo to it, sounds like a mysterious western fable. Still got those delicate Clare Hennessy vocals. Will be hanging out for the next one from you!
