Bio

Eclipsed behind the alias ‘Clovr’ – Mackay based independent beatmaker/ creative is saturating the tropics of North Queensland with his classically futuristic, slinky upbeat pop-electronica inspired by a combination of long time idols Jai Paul, Flume and Caribou. Quickly developing an ear for music at a very young age found the ‘to be’ musicians passion in the curiosity around the production of a Fleetwood Mac track playing on the home surround system. Now the artist has snatched Triple J’s attention after releasing 2 singles, with raving reviews from Richard Kingsmill, Dom Alessio and Tommy Faith labeling the work as “Expertly constructed electronica”, and “Colourful Mura Masa vibes”. Clovr then went on to support American music legends ‘Hippie Sabotage’ on their Australian Tour but didn’t seal his entry into the music scene until after his career defining performance at this years Groovin The Moo. Clovr is back with a 2-year writing sessions worth of music.

Getting in early with a warm, round-edged rejig. Feels a little weightless but massive as if you’re floating effortlessly atop a kilometer deep pool.

Some deft touches here, and layers of melodies that never confuse.
