About

For much of his career, Australian singer-songwriter Colin Macpherson was known to only a select group of followers and fellow musicians. Although a prolific composer and lyricist, most of his early work was never recorded but simply written down (in the old way) and then performed live at small venues in various parts of the world. But in the northern winter of 2012-2013, he finally decided to record some of his latest material. In typical style, he set up a tiny recording booth in a rent-free apartment on, of all places, the island of Lefkada in Greece (where he and his wife were temporarily living on a small yacht they had restored). The result was his first album, 'Out of Nowhere', sixteen original songs- - covering a range of genres -- in which he did everything but the final mastering. A further six albums has now established his unique take on pop, rock, folk, rap, blues, and reggae. He remains a lone singer-songwriter who still has something to say.

Sounds Like

Hard to say. Echoes of Dylan and Neil Young in some songs, but better for you to decide.
