Bio

There's a darkness to COLU that defies their origins in sunny Brisbane.

The pop duo began as roommates Kieran Fergusson and James Manteit, and screaming over who forgot the house key quickly morphed into a musical chemistry they hadn't found before. Two years, 60 demo tracks and 4 share houses later, they are finally tangible.

With two equally addictive singles already under their belt, COLU aren't showing signs of slowing down. Single 3, INTENTIONS, sees the boys solidifying their niche of ambient pop-rap, while yet again displaying a fearless commitment to versatility.

Only months into their career, COLU have already amassed nearly 50 thousand total streams. With support from multiple Australian blogs, dozens of community radio stations and a review from Dave Ruby Howe himself, it’s evident that Australia wants more.

The singles SCHOLAR and SLUMP amassed over a hundred instagram story reposts from a highly engaged and loyal fan base, with Triple J receiving a mass of requests to play SCHOLAR

An incredibly promising future is beginning for COLU, and if you’re lucky you’re witnessing it unfold right now.

Interesting track. Influenced heavily by some particular acts but I like where they put the emphasis - it feels deliberate. New gen game.
