Bio

Since their 2012’s EP release “The Conversations We Never Had” a lot has changed.

A band that was largely flagged as folk, added another member, played constantly across Sydney
and has formed a formidable sound that is grabbing peoples attention.
Whilst the intensity and energy in their tunes has grown, their original delicate, sometimes cryptic
portrayal of life in their lyrics still remains.

New compositions include a new immersive, rhythmic sound.

Recent history for the band has included the birth of a beautiful baby girl to Juliet (and her partner Dave) and Charlotte and Yasmine both getting married to their sweethearts.
We've been off the touring scene for a few years now due to these wonderful happenings but not playing out can only last so long.

In the words of the the critics/media -
“The Conversations seem to be ticking the nu-folk box pretty nicely.... It still sounds early days for these guys,
but it will be good to see where they turn up in the next 12 months”.
Nick Findlay, triple j

"Reality Is" sees jangly guitar strumming, a hypnotic repeating chorus and fluctuating strings;
all parts mixed together, the perfect concoction for a pining soul"

The Conversations seem to be ticking the nu-folk box pretty nicely. there's a simple, haunting property to this song which draws you in. It still sounds early days for these guys, but it'll be good to see where they turn up in the next 12months
