“Cornstalk” a melodic six piece Roots driven Rock Band hailing from Newcastle NSW Australia, a 7 time nominee and Award Winning band. Cornstalk took out the Best Blues and Roots Artist Award for the 2016 (AIMAS) Independent Music Awards in late October 2016, along with the honour of being a nominee for Artist of the Year. ​ Cornstalk has just released their new 12 track album "Pennies Fall", mixed at Studio 301 Sydney. Cornstalk has performed alongside many various well-known acts from around Australia and International acts, as Dallas Frasca, Ash Grunwald, The Beautiful Girls, Afro Moses, Cornerstone Roots and True Live to name a few, delivering nothing but quality performances. ​ Over the past years the band have been in the top 4 bands in Australia to compete for The World Battle of The Bands to represent Australia, along with a few of their tracks from there earlier released self-titled EP being aired on many commercial and community radio stations.
