Bio

Coves are a 5-piece melodic-hardcore band from Adelaide, South Australia that began in June 2013. Since Coves have been performing together, the band has released two EP's, three singles and two music videos, and has also had the opportunity to tour nationally in support of their EP Dying Light. The band has supported a range of both international and national bands including: Being As An Ocean, Dance Gavin Dance, Funeral For a Friend, Title Fight, Trophy Eyes, Emery, Bayside, Stick To Your Guns, The Getaway Plan, Confession and Hellions.

When Coves released their debut five-track EP, 'Outcast', in 2014, the band quickly gained local attention within Adelaide with its no-nonsense aggressive and raw sound. Following up 'Outcast', in 2015 Coves hit the ground running with the release of their brand new single and music video 'Could've, Would've'. To date, 'Could've, Would've' has amassed 44,000 views on Youtube.

Coves released their second EP 'Dying Light' in 2016 with a lead single and music video of the same name, which to date reached 24,000 views. The third single 'Underground' received rotation on Triple J's Unearthed radio station, with 'Dying Light' and 'Could've, Would've' having also received airplay on Triple J's Short Fast Loud.

Coves have spent 2017 and 2018 writing and recording their first full length release, which aims to encapsulate and tie together a broad range of sounds from alternative rock to melodic hardcore. In anticipation of its announcement, Coves have released Dying to Sleep.

Tight, aggressive, tough, tender where it needs to be and punched through a cone of sulphuric acid. Powerful stuff.

Builds like a funeral pyre in slow-mo engulfing the antagonist before exploding like they were hiding fire crackers in their pockets
