Bio

After releasing both their debut album “Venus” in early January (2017) followed by their split 7” single “Fanclub” with Eddy Dillon in August (2017) with a sold out single launch at Record Paradise, and a co headline tour with Jungle Breed around Australia (Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle and Adelaide) in December 2017, Cracker La Touf's first year as a band earned them a place within the Australian music scene connecting with audiences amongst its many sectors. Since then, Cracker La Touf have released their first single of 2018 in "You Had It Coming" and saw the band sell out The Gasometer Hotel in Melbourne and pack out the Record Crate in Sydney.

With the Art Rock sounds they create coming loosely from their influences, Cracker La Touf can be compared soundwise to the likes of Pj Harvey, Fat White Family, Nick Cave and The Velvet Underground to name a few, Although their influences may stem from these acts, Cracker La Touf have a sound that is truly independent. “Cracker La Touf are a force to be reckoned with” words from James Lynch at Trouble Juice Magazine, “Their work is both poetic and deceptive, with vocals and musical shifts that punch you in the face”.

oooh yeah i'm with dave on this one, it's like a crouching tiger ready to pounce. maybe it won't ever pounce, but you'll be transfixed watching it/you.

It's unassuming on the surface but you can tell the band's got a coil like tension.

Judging by the clever restraint of the band, Syd's laconic ease and the gigs these guys have been playing, I'm happy to make the call now - Cracker La Touf are the real deal.
