Crash the curb are a two piece that use guitar, drums, vocals, effects pedels and loops n stuff to make pop punk with a dodgy edge. And they're our pick from Canberra to play at the One Movement Festival in Perth!
Tell us about your music – how did you develop your sound?
We pretty much wanted to make a band that was no bullshit with lots of energy and a bit rough around the edges. We are definitely a punk band but we try to incorporate indie rock elements similar to Pavement, Built to Spill Etc.
What should the One Movement Audience expect at your show?
They should expect a high energy set with loads of yelling/singing, pedal pressing, drum bashing, guitar thrashing and hopefully minimal mistakes!
What are you most looking forward to at One Movement?
We are looking forward to seeing some amazing Australian acts like Paul Kelly and checking out some bands we haven’t heard yet too. We have never been to Perth and can’t wait to check it out! We are a bit overwhelmed to be playing at such a huge event, as we have only played 6 gigs around town, but we are very excited too!
What’s coming up in the future?
We have just released our debut EP so we are having a CD launch in the next month or so! Also we have been busy writing a full album which we think really takes our sound to the next level, so we will be back in the studio in the near future to record that. And yeah, just playing gigs around Canberra and interstate as much as possible.
Australian music is?
Full of heaps of new exciting bands and has a great history in music too. We are so proud to be a part of Australian music!View Profile Hide Interview
