Bio

‘crippling fear of everything’ is the solo bedroom-pop project of Melbourne-based producer and songwriter Barnaby Matthews (formerly half of Fortunes.). Coming from a background of alt R&B/hip-hop production, Barnaby playfully adapts this experience into the indie-pop realm. His debut single ‘Speed Wobbles’ radiates a warm and carefree energy with summery guitars and vintage synths, recalling the fresh and terrifying excitement of falling in love during a heatwave.

Delightful and woozy and loved up. Big bulgy heart eyes beaming out of this one. Cute as! Can't wait to hear more.

There's something about the way the drums hit so effortlessly and those guitars breeze in and out. Just delightful

this is smooth and loved up without ever feeling cheesy and it's thanks to your delivery, those metaphors and that extra spesh production. a real good combo!
