Bio

2020 ARIA Award nominees The Crooked Fiddle Band are based in Sydney.
They've been making a bizarre mix of folk melodies, instrumental epics and heavy acoustic riffs since 2006, and in a surprise twist no one expected, this has brought them a cult following worldwide. From being booked by Brian Eno, to recording and touring with Steve Albini, 4 european tours to their recent ARIA nomination, the band's ecstatic dark energy is compelling.
Reviews call the band 'a national treasure' (Australian Stage), 'an irresistible force of nature' (The Australian) and the SMH said 'it's rare to hear genuinely original music these days, but one listen to The Crooked Fiddle Band and your mouth will drop open.'

The band are committed to being completely independent, making music they love. They still kinda hope you love it too.

Love it when a seasoned band still finds ways to be adventurous with their sound. This one's hypnotic.

Woah! So good to get a reminder of how these guys can handle their instruments with chaos and class.

You'd never expect The Crooked Fiddle Band to sound like this but, woah, it works really well. Ribongia's knack for big bassy sounds combined with the cut up instruments of TCFB make this feel super-sized.
