Bio

You can blame his Nigerian parents, his ever-present love of anime or whatever’s
in Australia’s water, but for whatever reason Crooked Letter is an overachiever.

Deciding to level up from self taught bedroom producer to full time Artist, in
early 2017 he made the move from Sydney to Melbourne to make music his full
time hustle. A few weeks in he released his first single, the self produced, genre
bending “heretics”. Less than 24 Hours later it was played on triple J.

Since then the 27-year-old Producer, Lyricist and Performer has been added to
regular rotation on Triple J Unearthed Radio and Sydney’s Fbi radio, Produced
the Lead single off of Sydney based songstress Wallace’s ‘Pole to Pole’ EP,
performed alongside some of Australia’s most exciting emerging acts and
travelled the country supporting 2017 breakout acts Winston Surfshirt and Slum
Sociable during their first nationwide tours.

During these shows Crooked Letter showcased his ‘impressive rhymes over a
melting pot of Afro beat, searing electronic and traditional hip hop compositions’
(themusic.com), all of which were his own making and even finessed his way on
stage along side Winston to close out some of their most sold out shows for a few
epic encores.
Finding himself in front of larger crowds than any new comer could ask for,
Crooked Letter took the opportunity to put the Australian hip-hop scene on
notice.

He declares his mission statement plain and clear on his infectious first single;
“I just wanna live by my own rules, with no one I’m selling my soul to”, and if his
music can is evidence anything its that he has the talent and the heart to do just
that.

Killer flow, you make it sound effortless. Love the production and your relaxed delivery - but still with heart. More please.
