Bio

Its not easy to describe where Cuthbert and the Night Walkers are coming from. The best we can do is to recall a review of a Flaming Lips show which likened the spectacle to a childs first birthday party organized by the parents while on acid. We wanted to be in a band like that. Here is what some nice people have said about Cuthbert and the Night Walkers (we didn't include what the rude people said about Cuthbert and the Night Walkers): “Sadly beautiful. I was enamoured.” Ross Clelland, Drum 26/9/06 “The sweetest band in town.” Dan Zilber FBi/Sydney Morning Herald 10/11/06 “Sydney’s Richie Cuthbert sings catchy nu-country/folk songs about all things cutesy and embellishes them with a chorus of nasally, melodramatic choir girls called the Night Walkers. But Cuthbert’s melodies endure well beyond the gimmick.” Brett Winterford, Sydney Morning Herald (Metro section) 5/1/07 “If you like Mates of State, The Polyphonic Spree & nursery rhymes, you will love Cuthbert and the Night Walkers…” www.songpod.com.au

Takes a few cues from Polyphonic Spree and Flaming Lips with the kids choir. But it works. Silly can be good.
