    d-Wizz 2.0 is a Brisbane New Wave and power pop outfit led by underground pop/rock cult figure David "d-Wizz" Barker on vocals and drums. He was the owner of the legendary Wizzard Studios in Brisbane which played host to bands like George, The Butterfly Effect, Montpelier, Deep Fry, Elephant Mojo, Streamer Bendy and John Steel Singers rehearsing there on a regular basis. d-Wizz is notorious for only doing a handful of gigs per year, but his quirky songwriting style about a variety of subjects like chocolate addiction, cyber-bullies, decrepit houses, expletives, and fun police neighbors earned him a legacy of die-hard followers from the Brisbane music scene. The band originally started life as The Hebephronics in 2002 by d-Wizz and erstwhile guitarist/vocalist Dario Western, but they changed the name to d-Wizz 2.0 in 2005 and after trying out a succession of bass players ended up with Mitchell Gamble from White Elephant Snow in 2008, who stayed with the band until 2014 when he got ...
