Damián Gaume is a multi-instrumental musician, producer and photographer born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, who has lived in Melbourne, Australia since 2013.
He began in the music world playing drums at the age of 8.
By the mid 90’s the bands that he were in, with his brother and school friends, disbanded and he started to learn to play guitar with Raúl Dilelio, founder guitarist of what later became one of the most important rock bands in the history of Argentine rock: La Renga.
Due to this connection, later on he collaborated with the band.
By 1996 he discovered abilities to compose his own songs. He started recording his first experimental solo project «Sounds of the Cavern» while he studied music production at CEARTEC.
In 2003 he started composing soft rock songs. After years of accumulating original material he released his first profesional self titled soft rock album in 2011.
In 2009 he met an Australian, who he went on to marry and moved to Melbourne in 2013.
Since then he released singles in a more classic rock style featuring some of the most important musicians from the Argentine rock scene such as La Renga, Los Enanitos Verdes, Estelares, Los Pericos, Los Tipitos, Catupecu Machu, El Bordo, Caballeros De La Quema. His songs received great acceptance and once in Australia he managed to collaborate with musicians from the Australian rock scene such as Mark Seymour and The Undertow and The Badloves.
In 2016 he started a side project called Stranger On The Bus.
