Dan Vandermeer

Dan Vandermeer has long been on a quest to find his true artistic identity, a quest that has taken him from studying jazz guitar at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to gigging six nights a week in Toronto, Canada to soul searching amongst the isolated Tasmanian wilderness. After moving to Hobart, Dan continued to hone his live performance skills in 2015 by playing over three-hundred solo acoustic gigs in two years and developing a strong local following. In January 2017 Dan took a break from performing and dedicated the next five months to writing and recording his long awaited debut EP (released July 1st).

Dan has recently been been played and interviewed on ABC Radio Hobart and Edge Radio (where his single “Breathless” is currently on rotation). Live, he has supported artists such as past X-Factor Australia runner-up Dean Ray, Tassie legend Tim Whybrow, San Francisco based singer/songwriter Joshua Cook, JAX and the Wayward, Fatty Esther & George Begbie.
