Bio

Dande and The Lion are a five-piece indie pop-rock band from Sydney. Formed in late 2017 and straight on the road, they were busy selling out shows in Sydney’s iconic Oxford Art Factory and Wollongong’s Rad Bar and packing rooms in Newcastle and Melbourne. With four songwriters in the band, they've managed to blend their individual influences into explosive live performances with a balance of delicate harmonies.

Their song Stardust was featured on MTV Uploads of The Week, and their song Twilight Highway was featured on Clipped TV. Their music has received radio play on 2SER, 4ZZZ, FBi, Triple J Unearthed, and a number of community radio stations.
Both singles are included on their five-track EP Twilight Highway which is out now on Spotify.
In support of their EP release, Dande and The Lion embarked on an EAST COAST TOUR late last year, hitting up shows from Brisbane to Melbourne and all beautiful places in between.

"...they're a band whose success comes with longevity, promised in how the two singles compare and contrast with one another while offering similar, but distinctly different sounds. It's a difficult thing to crack - let alone fairly early on in a career - but something Dande and the Lion knocked out of the park from the get-go" - Pile Rats 2019

"While ‘Stardust’ was a easygoing synth odyssey with a soundscape that made you feel like you were flying gently through space, ‘Twilight Highway’ feels like a soundtrack to a night out at Studio 54, complete with an explosion of confetti and people dancing in the streets." - Good Intent 2019

Stardust and Twilight Highway is available on Triple J Unearthed, YouTube, and included on their five-track EP Twilight Highway out now on Spotify.

Can't suppress the fun energy and vigour of this band with this track. The indie-disco aesthetic throws it back to some long forgotten faves like New Young Pony Club, The Long Blondes, etc.
