Bio

Queensland singer songwriter Dave Barrie developed a passion for music early in life, the youngest of 4 sons of two professional musicians. He has been developing his songwriting craft since the age of 16 and released his debut EP “Don’t Break” (produced by Emmy award winner Sean Carey) in 2009. His songs are often guitar layered and piano sprinkled affairs with a passionate, vulnerable mood.

“Don’t Break highlights not only Barrie’s knack for a killer melody and hook but also shows a vulnerability and emotion not often heard on a debut EP." (Beast Magazine, Sydney 2009).

A second EP 'The Storm' followed in 2011 and a regular touring schedule along Australia's east coast followed. Fatherhood in 2013 meant priorities would change for a while but the dust was blown off the old guitar in 2018. Armed with a dozen new original songs, Barrie hit up local Jampot Studios and produced his 3rd EP 'Sprint through a hurricane' due for release in mid to late 2020.

First single 'Set in stone' was released on Monday July 13 and second single 'The things that I could do' released on August 24.
