I developed a passion for music early in life, the youngest of 4 sons of two professional musicians. I released my debut EP “Don’t Break” (produced by Emmy award winner Sean Carey) in 2009. My songs are often guitar layered and piano sprinkled affairs with a passionate, vulnerable mood. “Don’t Break highlights not only Barrie’s knack for a killer melody and hook but also shows a vulnerability and emotion not often heard on a debut EP." (Beast Magazine, Sydney 2009). A second EP 'The Storm' followed in 2011 and a regular touring schedule along Australia's east coast followed. Fatherhood in 2013 meant priorities would change for a while but the dust was blown off the old Maton guitar in 2018. With a dozen new original songs, I hit up local Jampot Studios in Noosa and co-produced my 3rd EP 'Sprint through a hurricane' (2020) and 4th EP 'Days of Winter' (2021). A 5th EP is on the way with first single 'Hold Me Now' released on Sep 26, 2022. Follow up single 'Trampoline' is due on Dec 12.
