      About

The Dawn Chorus began as a share house musical experiment in a run down old Queenslander upon a Sunshine Coast mountainside. The group pulled together a bunch of basic recording equipment and set out to literally live, breathe and make music. Their debut album, “Letters From Ropeshoe” was originally inspired by singer/songwriter Mitch Davis and his barefoot travels through Far North Queensland. Mitch traveled and lived off the land for three months before returning home with a swag full of tunes. After relentless touring and many more barefoot journeys THE DAWN CHORUS worked hard at writing and recording their heavily anticipated second album, ‘Into The Dark’. This fresh batch of songs deliver personal yet somewhat universal tales, all while making you dance. The first single ‘The Plain Song’ along with its mind bending film clip is set for release in October. 'Big World' being released in April 2015 with a 15 date national tour, with the full-length album to drop later this year.
