‘Only Child’ is the lead track from Dead Owls new EP 'Small Talk'. Recorded by Dave Parkin (Jebediah, Drapht) at Blackbird Studios, the track takes a fresh approach to guitar based indie rock and channels the likes of Arcade Fire at their emotive best. A marching band rhythm section combines with repetitive vocal hooks to build over two and a half minutes, before reaching an exceptional climax that marks a new songwriting high from the Perth duo.
