The Dead White Males are a noise-rock-rap outfit from Perth, Western Australia. The band first started playing shows in June 2013 and put out their first E.P ‘The Dead White Demo Tape (TDWM2)’ in late December of that year. Two tracks from the E.P charted in the Triple J Unearthed punk chart for the week ending in the 26th of January 2014. The E.P also received favourable reviews in ‘The Music’ magazine and on the ‘X-Press’ website.

In 2015 the band ambushed their friends at their drummer’s house warming party with a guerrilla acoustic set dubbed ‘Unplugged & Uninterested (TDWM3)’. The set was self-recorded and a limited number of physical E.P’s were manufactured. In September 2015 The Dead White Males put out their first music video for the song ‘Struggle’ which featured footage sent to the band from punters filming them smashing their gear spliced in with back and white anti-communist propaganda and a bizarre sexploitation film.

In 2016 The Dead White Males released ‘The Eric E.P (TDWM4)’ and the 'Back of The Line L.P (TDWM5). These offering sees the group experimenting further with the three main elements of their sound: punk, noise-rock and hip hop by delivering tracks that isolate their influences.

2018 would see the band call it a day as one of their members moved interstate. Not before releasing their second full length album 'Party Songs (TDWM6)' which included a track Brad recorded in Chicago at Electrical Audio with Steve Albini behind the mixing desk. 'Party Songs' also featured a 2nd disc of hip hop remixes produced by Brad while he was traveling around the States.

The Dead White Males’ EP's are available for free download at their soundcloud page until download limits have been reached. The band's LP's can be found everywhere where music can be bought online but if you want to give them all the cash buy from their CDBaby page.
