Bio

Dear Thieves are an alternative, indie two piece from Melbourne, Australia. The band consists of Joel Hansen and Jesse Jones.

Hitting the Melbourne music scene early 2013 Dear Thieves have been prolifically writing music and making a name for themselves by gigging persistently through out the city. The duo have embarked on multiple east coast tours in support of their debut single ‘My Street’ and the ‘Bad Habits’ EP, and have graced the stage with the likes of Sydney’s Strangers and fellow Two-piece heavy hitters King Of The North. Taking inspiration from artists like Queens of The Stone Age, Manchester Orchestra and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Dear Thieves hit the studio with a very clear picture of what they wanted to produce, and recruited Julian Schweitzer of St. Kilda’s renown HotHouse Studio’s to get behind the desk and bring it to life.

‘P.Y.M’ Has captured the passion and energy you can expect from Dear Thieves captivating live shows, enhanced by a polished punch you’d expect from a high end studio album. With their high energy live shows, which leave no muscle dormant and no stone unturned, the boys are ready to take Dear Thieves to bigger, and much louder pastures.
