Bio

Honey vocals, dreamy synth and vibrant guitar riffs are fast becoming the signature of indie four-piece Death by Denim.
Formed in Perth in 2016, the band is made up of close friends, Palle Mazzulla, Nikolas Ilidias, George Gunson and Hamish Macarthur.
Breakout single ‘Wiggy’ made waves in 2019; a sensory escapade that saw the band hit number 3 on the triple j most played charts and ink a global management deal with Lemon Tree Music. Three national tours and a heap of sold out shows later, the band returned to WA to record their debut album, ‘Sleepless and Sunkissed’.

Album singles ‘Homemade’, ‘Out of Habit’ and ‘Caged’ were all added to high rotation on triple j and the band made the top 50 of both the triple j and triple j Unearthed most played artists of 2020. In the same year, Death by Denim signed to Paradigm Talent Agency under Tom Taaffe (UK/Europe) and Rob Zifarelli (North America). The band were then selected to be a part of the BIGSOUND50 and showcased at SXSW’s first digital festival.
2021 sees Death by Denim selling out their national tour for ‘Sleepless and Sunkissed’ and hitting 1 million streams each for hit tracks ‘Wiggy’ and ‘Cigarettes and Honey’. This year they’ve released emotional single ‘Small World’ and pulsating and high energy party-starter ‘Cause a Scene’ from their hotly anticipated sophomore album.

Me: I really can't wait for touring and festivals to be back - and I mean really back - so that this WA bunch can play their big bag of hits to big adoring crowds. Seriously, each track delivers more good moments for Death By Denim with the band continuing to nail their main-stage ready mix of indie, pop and classic heroics.
Cashier: Sir, this is a Boost Juice

Death By Denim taking us straight to paradise with those lush vocals and swift delivery. This one's got edge and that synth's got kick. It's really rich and full sounding and you guys have just got IT.
