    About

Ever been thrown in the deep end? Ever seen musicians affiliated with the likes of Pelusafunk, The Coalition Crew, Kafka and MC Rainman thrown together for a one-off hip-hop/funk/jazz/reggae jam? Ever thought such a jam could exceed all expectations and morph into a series of improvised party-inspiring shows? Well friends, these are the very 'sink or swim' origins of newly-formed Brisbane collective, Deep Ends. More evolution than constitution; more organic outcome than contrived creation; the Deep Ends risked swiftly sinking in the depths of improvisation and fusion, only to find themselves confidently swimming in the opportunities of this potentially perilous environment. The results..? - A band who reckon they got the knack to read a crowd, flawlessly fuse genres and above all, give a party what it needs. - A sound that is part jazz and reggae; part hip hop and funk; part whatever you want, but unquestionably - ALL good...
