Bio

De̊ǰa are haxx and Rromarin, electronic duo from Melbourne, Australia. A project born and raised in a series of home studios, De̊ǰa is the fusion of digital and organic, a musical brainchild forged from progressive production and diverse sounds.

2013 saw the band release their debut EP ‘Make Light’, which featured previously released singles ‘Luststruck’, ‘Holiday’ and ‘Still Falling’. They were triple j’s Unearthed Feature Artist for May, played at Parklife, Paradise and The Hills Are Alive festivals as well as supporting acts such as Panama and Clubfeet.

In the wake of their ‘Make Light’ EP release, the duo immersed themselves in the creation and completion of their anticipated second EP, ‘Infinite Ecstatic’. Merging signature heavy beats and ethereal vocals the pair work to push their sound further, taking listeners on a deeper, more introspective journey.

2014 has seen De̊ǰa support acts such as Chela, Movement, KLP and Gold Fields, as well as touring nationally with electronic trio Crooked Colours. In the wake of the August release of 'Infinite Ecstatic' the pair were selected as winners of triple j Unearthed's Listen Out competition and played the Melbourne leg of the festival as part of their own national headline tour. Most recently their lead single 'Sirens' was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2014 Vanda and Young Songwriting Competition.

Love everything about this. From the piano chords, the vocal and the beat. All fits so nicely together.

A perfect way to set off your EP. So warm and familiar and comforting.

Great song guys. Delicate production with the right amount of warm thudding bass and plenty of drive. It's bright and light with a solid backbone too. And it sounds like bliss. Beautiful chorus rising up, too. Tops.
