Deuce craft dreamy, evocative indie pop inspired by the likes of Mazzy Star, Galaxy 500 and Beach House. A collaboration between visual artist and musician Kayleigh Heydon, who hails from Manchester, and Curtis Wakeling (The Ocean Party / Pop Filter), the project emerged in April with debut track ‘Day Three’, featured on Covid compilation ‘Stay Inside: Songs from the Great Indoors’. Deuce' latest offering and first official single, 'Antipodes', was penned by Heydon in early days of the Coronavirus pandemic. Written and recorded within a couple of hours, the hazy pop track captures the yearning to reconnect with loved ones during a time where border closures and restrictions limit physical interactions. 'Antipodes' opens with an aching slide guitar, before Heydon's vocals take centre stage.
