Artist:Dishpan Fingers

Dishpan Fingers is an alt-folk artist who draws on the influences of The Shins, Elliot Smith, Bill Callahan and Paul Kelly. He writes melodic narratives, tinged with a melancholy disposition and a brewing angst. Autobiographical lyrics lament the awkward moments and unburied ghosts. The name suggests a lyrical nakedness, a homage to the acceptance of unacceptable quirks. Transparency meets the opaque sigh of tapping feet and folded arms. Songs are salvaged from a downcast frown with a dash of the upbeat, a melodic familiarity and a shuffling toward a more hopeful place. Singer/songwriter Cameron Ross independently released his twelve track, debut album, "Flicker & Swirl".
