Bio

Built up on thick, fuzzy guitars and big, washy drums, The Dollar Bill Murrays are a Brisbane based alt/desert rock band.

Drawing influences from bands such as Queens of the Stone Age and Arctic Monkeys they have one EP under their belt which was released in April 2016 to fantastic response from independent radio as well as write-ups from several Australian music publications. After hitting the studio again in July, their latest single Medicine is currently on full rotation on Triple J Unearthed radio.

“This is the devil's music. Clearly he's got decent taste.” (Dave Ruby Howe, triple j)

“It’s fair to say that [The Dollar Bill Murrays] are the perfect antidote to this incoming miserable winter – it’s laid back, sun drenched psych rock seriously in tune with the beachy, summery vibes we’re craving right now.” (Tone Deaf)

“The Dollar Bill Murrays have expanded their sound with a gritty, fuzz-filled jam that is packed to the rafters with a catchy chorus, squealing guitar, and insane drum fills.” (AAA Backstage)

What an easy listening, laid-back track. I can see how you've been described as like more of a stoner version of Queens of the Stone Age and Arctic Monkeys. The chorus really sticks with you.
