Doom Town Intensive. The perfect name for a band hailing from Ballarat, a cold, dark town with a wind that penetrates the bones in an instant. The only way to keep warm is to serve up some severe down stroking action. No I'm not talkin' about that...... I'm talkin' guitars being played with the pure intent of disintergrating the strings, resulting in the formula now recognised as DTI. Now we wearn't always known as DTI. Previous to this we used to perform under the monarch of The Turnarounds, changing names as we built up to a five piece and to get a more identifiable name as 'The' bands had taken over pop culture. Under the two band names we have toured the east coast four times and played support for many great bands local and international including... Magic Dirt, The Vines, Cooper Temple Clause (UK), Sleepy Jackson, The Monarchs, Giants Of Science, Rocket Science, The Pictures and Six Ft Hick to name a few that we can remember.
