— NoEmotion GoldMask

DOS4GW (doss-four-gee-double-you) is a freelance electronic composer, producer and artist, currently residing in Melbourne, Australia.

His music creates a space in which to paint a portrait, dance to in your living room, or play while you cut up a body. Tangelo-infused bass music, head nod beat shit with no added MSG, avant-garde drone soundscapes, dusted rap instrumentals, hold the cheese please. Played out horn loops, chipmunk soul samples and orchestra hits are not in his crate; you’re much more likely to find procedurally generated algorithms inexorably grinding the music forward.

Since 2007, DOS has been producing beats that cut a swath through the MC and beat head community like the scythe of corruption “Moon Sickle” (+6, 10d4+6) [+2, +2]. He’s released a multitude of instrumental projects, as well as collaborations with rap artists from Brunswick, Melbourne to Bushwick, NYC.

Now, in 2014, after a successful sojourn to NYC courtesy of fresh Brooklyn based label Smokers Cough, DOS is furiously creating soundtracks for tastemaking indie film heads, doing art exhibition soundscapes, and creating CS:GO audio mods, as well as continuing his work with L-BURN, Armand Hammer (NY), Tomorrow Kings (IL), and more.

DOS4GW is a challenger to the status quo of electronic music. Stop reading, start listening.

If you took chiptune, mixed with a bit of OddFuture and the bizarre lyricism of MF Doom and you'd sort of get the picture here. Dip your ears for something different.

woah man, that beat is morbid. Love it. There's alot in this that reminds me of El-P and I don't have a problem with that at all.
