If you haven’t already heard, there is a groundswell around the corner, you mustn’t miss. With rising momentum and power, Driftwood Allies are set to hit like a tsunami on a shore near you. Their delicately woven, fusion threads, of roots, rock, reggae, funk and ska, deliver a unique brand of infectious groove. Having supported some of Australia’s Roots and Reggae heavyweights, Bomba, The Red Eye’s, and local titans, Ebb n’ Flo, ‘The Allies’ are ready to enter the ranks with their EP ‘Solidarity.’ Driftwood Allies originated as a trio in Woolgoolga over three years with core members Ashley Gibb, Josh Cansdell and Kahlil (Louie) Messer. More recently the group has been honoured to include the sweet vocal exploits of Rachel Maxwell (Wasabi) and the turntable genius of Joelism, to deliver an action-packed show like none other.
