Awestruck at an early age by the honesty and deliverance found in old blues records by John Lee Hooker and Robert Johnson, inspired by the lyrical imagery of Tom Waits and Chris Whitley, compelled to rock by the power and freedom of Jimi Hendrix, The Black Keys and a disturbing obsession with Billy Idol, a new twist to an old recipe, Dylan takes these ingredients and distills it down to a bottle of top shelf rocket fuel. Thrown into an inner Sydney studio for a couple of late night after hours sessions with a galvanized steel acoustic, a couple of electrics, and a power house rhythm section with Michael Ward ( The Remains , Louis Tillet, Jeff Lang etc.) on Drums and Glen Schollum (Steve Prestwich, Taurine etc.) on Bass, “Devil’s Groove” ...
