Bio

Dysfunction are Griffin Potter, TJ Barrett, Jack Casey and Oli Naglost. They formed in 2016 and have already achieved success in their home country of Australia, winning the Gotcha 4 Life Battle of the Bands in June 2018, the inaugural Northern Composure Unplugged competition in December 2018 and the People's choice award at the City of Ryde Battle of the Bands in January 2019.

The band also recently won the Sydney heat of the national Rockfest competition and will be off to Melbourne in September to compete in the final. The band was also selected to compete in the finals of YouthRock, the NSW government's annual high school band competition conducted during YouthWeek.

The band plays a rare mix of pop punk with metal core influences, resulting in a truly unique sound. Their dedication and commitment to writing and performing is extraordinary, especially considering the average age of the band is just 17.

Griffin is the lead vocalist and covers many vocal styles, from hard rock to pop ballads. TJ is the band’s guitarist and is a passionate musician currently studying at the Australian Performing Arts Grammar School. He definitely stands out on-stage with his signature face mask and left-handed guitar. Jack is the band’s bassist and a leader in the bands song development and production. Oli is on drums and backing vocals and drives the pop punk influences of the group.

The band is mentored by Big Music's Ash Rothschild, also of Panic Syndrome and Caligula.
