Bio

'eastlakes' was formed in Sydney by high school friends Chris and Gonz, who previously played together in instrumental post-rock band The Space Banditos and indie-rock band Bright Quito Spring. After a nine-year hiatus they are set to release a full-length DIY album in early 2019.

In putting together this album, the pair drew inspiration from their lives away from music, with themes such as the alienation of work and garden-variety despair. They documented these serious sentiments in tracks that are often upbeat and amusing.

"A Logic" and "Kick the Cord" are the first two singles from the album, with further singles dropping every month until the LP launch.

Whomst is saying you "haven't even taken minor steps in the right direction"? what is their phone number please, I would like to speak to them. They must be mistaking you for someone else because this is nice, it's different, it's unusual.

Got a bit of that coastal jangle magic happening here. It's the vocals that draw me in and leave me wanting more. Super tasty.
